GHUGNI (WHITE PEAS)
A popular snack from the eastern part of India.

INGREDIENT :
White peas - 800 gm.
Lime - 1 no.
Cumin seeds - 3.5 gm.
Red chili powder - 5 gm.
Ginger (ground) - 10 gm.
Asafetida - a pinch.
Coriander chopped- 4 gm.
Salt to taste.
Oil - 15 ml.

METHOD :
Boil peas in salt water. Drain. Heat oil in a wok. Add asafetida and cumin, stir for 1 minute and add ginger paste and chilly powder. Stir and add peas and salt. Squeeze lemon juice, stir and when done, sprinkle coriander leaves. Serve hot.
Time taken -- 30 min.
Serves -- 8.
