| INGREDIENT
: Urad-dal - 250 gm. Sugar - 200 gm. Grated coconut - 20 gm. Cardamom powder - 2.5 gm. Oil - 60 ml. Salt to taste |
METHOD
: Soak urad-dal overnight. Drain and grind to a fine paste. Whip batter with a tbspn. of water, salt and add coconut. Heat oil in a wok. Drop small dollops of batter in wok and deep fry, till crisp and brown. Make sugar syrup, by melting sugar in warm water. Add cardamom powder in syrup, and add dumpings. Time taken -- 45 mins. Serves -- 6. |
