| INGREDIENT
: Flour - 250 gm. Lemon Juice - 2.5 ml. Whole Cloves - 5 gm. Khoya(reduced milk)-85gm. Cardamom powder - 2.5gm. Coconut (grated) - 60gm. Nutmeg powder - 2.5 gm. Sugar - 200 gm. Saffron colouring-1drop. Nuts & raisins - 18 gm. Ghee (clarified butter) |
METHOD
: Mix khoya, coconut, 3 tbspn.sugar and cook till blended. Add sliced nuts, raisins, nutmeg powder and mix, reserve. Knead a stiff dough with flour, saffron colouring, water and 4 tbspn. ghee. Keep aside. Combine remaining sugar and water to make syrup to one string consistency. Add lemon juice. Divide dough and khoya into equal sized portions. Roll out each portion of dough and add khoya in the middle of the discs. Fold dough over to form triangles and hold down with cloves. Heat ghee in a pan, and fry triangles till golden brown. Drain and dip in sugar syrup. Remove and leave on a plate to dry. Time taken -- 1 hr. Serves -- 6. |
