| INGREDIENT
: Full cream milk powder - 60 gm. Self-raising flour - 23 gm. Bicarbonate of soda - 1.25 gm. Cardamom - 1.25 gm. (ground fine) Ghee (clarified butter) - 12.5 gm. Water - 45 ml. Ghee for deep frying SYRUP: Sugar - 400 gm. Water - 960 ml. Cardamom pods - 5 nos Rose essence a few drops |
METHOD
: Sift milk powder, flour, soda and ground cardamom into a large bowl. Rub in ghee and add water and knead into firm pliable dough. Make syrup by combining sugar and water over slow fire. Mould dough into small round balls, and fry in a wok over slow fire till golden brown in color. Lift these out of the pan and allow to drain on absorbent paper.Add to syrup and serve hot.
