| INGREDIENT
: Prawns - 1 kg Onions (chopped fine ) - 200 gm. Red chili paste - 15 gm. Ginger/garlic paste - 40 gm. Turmeric powder - 5 gm. Cumin seed powder - 5 gm. Garam-masala powder - 5 gm. Green chilies(chopped) - 15 gm. Cream - 100 ml. Ghee ( clarified butter ) - 30 gm. Green chilies - 7 gm. Salt - To taste |
METHOD
: Shell, devin and wash prawns. Apply salt and keep aside. Heat ghee in a wok, add onions and fry . Add cumin and cook till onions are tender. Add red chili paste, ginger/garlic paste, turmeric and half the garam-masala powder. Cook till oil separates from the gravy. Add prawns, and stir well .Add one cup of water, cover and cook on slow fire till prawns are cooked. Blend cream and add to the prawns, sprinkle remaining garam-masala powder.Remove from fire, garnish with green chilies and serve with hot rice. Time taken -- 1
