10 ways to transform yourself

Learn something new
Learn one new recipe every week. Take up a new hobby. Retrain for another job. Learn computer skills. Try something you're do or would hate. Stick with it. Maybe some of the stuff you believed about yourself is no longer valid.

Change your Environment
Redecorate your room. Get away from boring white walls - splash on canary yellow, place new. Check out the new nightclub that's opened. Try one of those quiet yet chic eateries.

Develop a Healthy Lifestyle
You'll look good and feel good. Start that fitness programme. Go jogging in the park. It's a great place to meet new people. Go pubbing less, try a dancing class instead. Have fun!

Find a Special Place
A spot where you can be alone and still - your very own retreat from the world. Like a huge rock on the beach. Go there when the stress gets to you or things get overwhelming. It's therapeutic.

Release the past
Spend a day getting rid of accumulated junk. You'll be surprised how much stuff you've hoarded over the years. Recycle or give it away. The objective is to see how much you can let go of the past.

Focus your friendships on those who really count
Start looking at those friendships that are important to your and put your energies into those. Expect less from your friends and you'll be happier, too.

Take Time Off
Chuck away your watch, switch off the alarm, stick your planner in the dest drawer. Don't peek at your TV, the microwave, your laptop or listen to the radio (see how hard it is to escape?). Embark on free-fall time. See how the day unrolls at your natural pace. Observe what gets eliminated and what gets your attention. Discover the real priorities in your life.

Forgive Someone
Re-examine your grudge. Do you need to hang on to it? Gorgiving may not be harder than withholding forgiveness. Release your anger and lighten that load on your mind. Move on with your life and gain inner peace - more room for happier thoughts.

Change your Image
Try a new style that's totally not you. Like a new haircut and/or a makeover using a newly launched make-up line. This will make you look at yourself from a new perspective.

Stop Comparing yourself  to others
Sure a touch of competition can be healthy. Certainly, measuring yourself occasionally against a role model is a good way to grow and change. But a rivalry with the whole wide world is exhausting. There'll always be someone more intelligent, popular, beautiful, toned or accomplished. You don't have to beat the pack, just strive for your personal best.
